Job Description:

This ICU position involves caring for complex patients in a mixed unit with MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU cases, excluding floating to CVICU unless experienced.

Responsibilities:

• Care for complex ICU patients with surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma diagnoses.
• Administer IV medications, manage ventilators, and provide critical care as needed.
• Collaborate with a team including CNA’s, resource nurses, and physicians for comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in weekend rotations and potential floating to Medsurg/Tele if required.

Requirements:

• 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience is preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system and strong critical thinking skills.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by the board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing.
