ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Critical Care Unit (CCU) team. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking abilities, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios: 2:1, at times 3:1
• Staffing Description: MT, with occasional tech support depending on census
• Type of Equipment: Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, Hemodynamic monitoring
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours weekly
• Floating Policy: Float in rotation with core staffing

Patient Experience Requirements

• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS

Requested Skill Set

• Must Have: Critical thinking, self-motivated
• Advanced Skills Needed: Central line insertions, dialysis catheter insertions

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color; denim, capris, or camo are not permitted.

• Participated in making blankets for hospice patients.
• Daisy Award implemented by Critical Care RN.
