ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of prior ICU experience required
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensure: Must hold a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN)
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (to be completed within six months of hire)
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (to be completed within six months of hire)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (to be completed within six months of hire)

Job Description

This position primarily involves providing nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include the execution of various nursing care procedures which require professional knowledge and the ability to work independently. The role may also include floating to the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatric units in cases of low patient census.

Nursing duties encompass the provision of inpatient care and support in the ICU, addressing the needs of individuals of all ages and their families. The registered nurse will also be responsible for the after-hours recovery of post-operative patients as needed.

Work Conditions

Shared contractor housing is provided; pets and family members are not permitted.
