ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Dallas, TX

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Shift: Rotating weekends

Unit Highlights

The position is within a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) where assignments are based on patient acuity and nurse skillsets.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
• Utilize and become familiar with all ICU equipment, including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitor.
• Document patient information using Meditech.
• Perform bedside procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MICU/MSICU experience required.
• Active RN license in Texas (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system.
• CCRN certification is preferred.

Dress Code Policy

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue Scrubs.
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy nails without artificial enhancements (e.g., gel, next gen).
• Hair: Neat and clean; pulled back if shoulder length or longer. No extreme styles or colors. Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed.
• Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; visible tattoos will be addressed individually.
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are not permitted.

Policies and Guidelines

• Floating among units may be required as needed based on staffing needs.
• Attendance policies in accordance with company-wide standards will be enforced.
