ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in the Neuro-Vascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU). The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a passion for delivering compassionate patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 16
• Number of Staff: 46
• Patient Ratios: Estimated 2:1
• Type of Equipment: Standard ICU equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Work Schedule

This position requires the nurse to work at least 4 weekends during each schedule period. Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the NVICU.
• Perform critical procedures including central line and A-line placements, intubation, and EVD placement.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in patient status.

Qualifications

Required:

• ICU experience is mandatory.
• ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• Experience with Meditech EMR.
• Oncology and/or Neuro experience.

Floating Areas

The role may require floating to various ICUs, BMT, and PCU floors as needed.
