ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

Join a dedicated team in a dynamic 9-bed ICU setting. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, unless a 1:1 care assignment is necessary. There may be occasions for Med/Surg overflow, where the nurse-to-patient ratio can increase to 3 or 4 patients per nurse. The position involves 12-hour shifts, available for both day and night schedules, totaling 72 hours every two weeks. While primarily focused on adult ICU patients, the team may occasionally care for stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric cases are transferred to a higher level of care. Each shift will have a minimum of three nurses to ensure exceptional patient care.

Additional responsibilities may include floating to other departments for support, although this will not involve managing a full team of patients. There is the opportunity for an additional pay rate for those assigned to charge nurse duties.

Shift Information

• 12-hour shifts available for days or nights
• Holiday coverage is required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS
• Pediatric experience is necessary
