Shift: 8 Hour Days, 08:00:00-16:00:00, EOW, First to Float

Contract Length: 5 weeks

Job Description:

Registered Nurse needed for the Inpatient Palliative Care unit, responsible for carrying a case load and visiting up to 5-6 new patients, along with 3-4 follow-up visits per day. Coverage needed for LOA, and acute care experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Developing patient daily list, reviewing patient charts, and assessing patient needs
• Leading goals of care discussions and educating on disease process, advance directives, and POLSTs
• Holding family meetings and end-of-life discussions/support
• Attending daily rounds and participating in the palliative care team activities

Requirements:

• Palliative Care Experience preferred
• Must have 2-5 years of recent experience in palliative and/or hospice setting
• BLS Certification required, ELNEC preferred
• Experience in ICU and/or oncology is a plus
• Strong acute care, clinical thinking, and communication skills necessary
• Flexibility and strong organizational skills required
