Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units. Candidates must have ICU experience and be willing to float to Medical Surgical as needed. Extensive Cardiac experience is required.

Qualifications

• Current IL License
• CPR Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as dictated by the physician and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, potentially including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, appropriately escalating concerns through the chain of command.

Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Holiday coverage is required.
