Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) will provide direct and indirect patient care in the acute setting, utilizing clinical expertise. This professional will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating care, in addition to performing assessments and interventions for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care in the ER, maintaining effective communication with interdepartmental staff.
• Float to Med/Surg and Swing bed units within the same facility if necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience with previous Medsurg experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Ability to read own EKG strips and troubleshoot RT equipment.
