Job Description:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides care to a diverse population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. This role involves managing a high volume of patients and requires experience in critical care situations, trauma response, and prioritization of patients based on acuity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize patient care in high acuity environments.
• Perform ESI assessments during triage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collect evidence and care for sexual assault patients in rotation with permanent staff.
• Participate in trauma care, including stroke and cardiac emergencies.
• Potentially precept students and engage in task-based assignments in various units.

Requirements:

• RN: Minimum of 2 years ED experience excluding travel; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS certifications required; CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred.
• LPN: 2 years LPN experience in acute care settings; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required; CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Experience with all patient types and critical thinking skills are necessary.
