Job Description:
This is a FT Night Position. To coordinate and implement an individualized plan of care for each patient using the nursing process, practicing within their scope, standards, policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Complies with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.
- Uses evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
- Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or to be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Current STABLE certification or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or to be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Two (2) years hospital nursing experience preferred.
- One (1) year Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing experience preferred.
