Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment in the emergency department. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Location: Corpus Christi, TX
• Number of Beds: 12
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech (11a-11p), 1 Unit Secretary (9a-5p, M-F)
  • Night Shift: 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech (11a-11p), 1 Unit Secretary (5p-1a, M-F)
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): [System details not specified]

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Preferred Skills:
  • Strong experience in Neuro and Cardiac care
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Typical Procedures Performed

• STEMI management
• Stroke treatment, including TPA administration
• RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation)

Dress Code

Preferred scrub color is royal blue, but it is not mandatory. Please refrain from wearing any competitor emblems.
