Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

This position is for a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) within a state-of-the-art facility that handles over 100,000 visits per year. It is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country and is the only Level I trauma center in the region, serving a diverse patient population.

Job Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Assist with boarder patients and coordinate patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Work Schedule

The role features a rotating schedule with day, evening, and night shifts, including blocked weekends. Flexibility is required for floating, holidays, and on-call duties as per unit needs.

Job Requirements

• Active RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience.
• Telemetry experience is mandatory.
• Previous travel Emergency Department experience is essential.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association ONLY.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association ONLY.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
