Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

This position is within a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department that handles over 100,000 visits annually and is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. Serving as the only Level I trauma facility in the region, the department caters to a diverse patient population and assists with boarding patients.

Job Duties

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a dynamic environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage and treat a variety of acute medical conditions.
• Assist with transferring and managing boarder patients.

Work Schedule

This position involves a rotating schedule with day/evening/night shifts and blocked weekends. Additional responsibilities may include floating to other units and working on holidays as needed.

Job Requirements

• Valid RN License in New York State.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel emergency room experience is mandatory.

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
