• Number of Beds: 27
• Number of Staff: 50 RNs, 25 Medics
• Patient Ratios: 4-6:1

General Information

This Emergency Department operates with a dedicated staff structure to ensure optimal patient care. The unit comprises a blend of experienced professionals that handle a high volume of diverse cases.

• Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 Medics, with an increase of 4-5 RNs at 11 AM and 1-2 RNs at 3 PM.
• Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 Medics.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform advanced procedures such as RSI, Sepsis interventions, and Stroke protocol with tPA administration.
• Execute central line placements and provide care for psychiatric patients.
• Facilitate transfers to other facilities in compliance with EMTALA regulations.

Qualifications

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC preferred; ENPC, NRP, NIH are nice to have.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 travel assignments completed.
• 2-3 years of relevant Emergency Room experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in high acuity emergency rooms.
• Familiarity with high patient volume and patient ratios of 5:1.

Schedule

Weekend shifts are required, with four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) scheduled within a four-week period. There is no on-call requirement.
