Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a challenging yet rewarding position in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for providing exceptional patient care in an emergency room setting.

Schedule

• Days – 3 shifts of 12 hours (36 hours weekly)
• No guarantee of hours

Unit Information

The emergency department features:

• 28 bed capacity
• 4 trauma bays
• 2 behavioral health rooms
• 22 rooms equipped with cardiac monitoring

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a rapid-paced environment
• Collaborating effectively with the healthcare team
• Maintaining a focus on patient turnover and team-oriented care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
• Active license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii required by the beginning of the assignment
• General certifications required:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Preferred certifications:
  • Procedural Sedation
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Emergency Medical Pediatric Course (EMPC)
