Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients during critical situations, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Shift Information

The position is for the mid-shift from 12 PM to 12 AM, with no on-call duties required. Additionally, there are no floating or block scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests and administer medication as per protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in Medhost EMR.
• Manage patient care efficiently, maintaining a ratio of 4:1 unless in fast track or triage scenarios.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid to work in Texas.
• Advanced certifications: ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC (AHA or ARC).
• Demonstrated expertise in standard emergency nursing practices.
• Ultrasound IV skills are preferred.
• A minimum of three years of experience in emergency nursing.

Additional Information

The facility comprises 24 beds, plus an additional 4 hall beds. A maximum of three shifts of requested time off (RTO) is allowed, with specific blackout dates surrounding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

Scrubs must be in a solid color of the nurse’s choice.
