Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a facility located in Independence, MO. This is a seasonal travel position, providing an exciting opportunity to enhance your nursing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 40+
• Staffing: 120+ members
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 with three rooms and one hall bed in high-volume situations
• Type of Equipment: Cardiac monitors, EKG machines, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO drills, Lifepak, etc.
• EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Adaptability
  • Team player
• Preferred Experience:
  • Previous high-pressure experience
  • Prior medical experience (RN, Medic, Technician, etc.)
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI for RN
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI for Medic
  • BLS, CPI for all staff

Position Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms

Dress Code

Scrub color/title requirements are as follows:

• RN: Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms
• Medic: Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms
• EDT/Secretary: Caribbean blue scrub top with Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms
• Appropriate colored T-shirts are permitted under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket.
