Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Arlington Heights, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong clinical skills and experience in emergency care.

Schedule

• Orientation Schedule:
  • Wednesday: 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM (Epic Test Out)
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Education) followed by orientation on the floor
• Contract Length: 8-12 weeks, with approval to run through the end of the year.
• Full-time position with 12-hour night shifts.
• Rotating weekends and some holiday commitments are required.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in critical situations. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions and needs, and providing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress and response to treatments.
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• CPR, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS certifications.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.

Preferred:

• 4 or more years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
