Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

This position is located in Mission, TX. The facility consists of 11 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team of 3 Registered Nurses on both day and night shifts.

General Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Type of Equipment: Trauma equipment, Point of Care (POC) lab, precipitous delivery
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Fast-Track Emergency Department or Emergency Room.
  • Expertise in performing difficult venipunctures, inserting large bore IVs, collecting blood cultures, patient triage, and clinical monitoring.
• Preferred Skills:
  • More than 2 years of experience in Emergency Department or Fast-Track Emergency Department.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Point of Care (POC) laboratory tests
• Emergency response procedures

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
