Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Rockport, TX. The nurse will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 6 rooms, including 4 vertical beds
• Staffing: 10 Full-Time Employees (FTE) and 4 PRN staff
• Day Shift: 3 RNs including Charge Nurse, 1 Paramedic on Mid Shift
• Night Shift: 3 RNs including Charge Nurse
• Patient Ratios: 3 to 4 patients per nurse
• Equipment Used: Vital Sign Machine, BiPAP, Ventilator, Nebulizer, Ortho Glass, AED
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech

Qualifications

Must-have Skills:

• Experience in a Fast Track Emergency Department setting

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency with IV blood draws, EKGs, Foley catheters, orthopedic splints, and wound care

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Floating Areas

Float to the Fast Track Emergency Department as needed.

Dress Code

Scrub attire: Blue

Work Schedule

This position will require weekend availability to ensure adequate staffing in the Emergency Department.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
