Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Emergency Room

Unit Information

Location: Dallas, TX

• Number of Beds: 86
• Number of Staff: 105
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift – 7 RNs, with additional staff brought in every 2 hours, totaling 18-20 RNs during peak hours
  • Night Shift – 6-7 RNs
• Patient Ratios: Acuity-based, typically 4:1 but subject to surge requirements
• Type of Equipment: Standard Emergency Room equipment
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Experience in acute patient care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Positive attitude with high energy
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Trauma center experience

Typical Responsibilities

Candidates will be involved in various emergency procedures, including but not limited to:

• Airway and Respiratory Procedures
• Vascular Access Procedures
• Trauma Assessment and Management
• Emergency Medical Procedures
• Medication Administration
• Patient Education and Communication
