Join a dynamic team in the Endoscopy unit, featuring:

• Number of Beds: 6 procedure rooms and 13 prep/recovery bays
• Number of Staff: 12, including 8 nurses and 4 techs on day shift
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 in procedure, 2:1 in prep/recovery
• Type of Equipment: Endoscopy
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Job Overview

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role includes preparation and recovery of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a nursing role, particularly in endoscopy.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following skills are highly sought after:

• Endoscopy experience

Typical Procedures

The unit performs various endoscopic procedures, including:

• Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
• Colonoscopy
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
• Bronchoscopy

The unit handles both adult and pediatric patients.

Work Environment

Expect a professional atmosphere with strict adherence to policies, including:

• No phones allowed in the unit
• Minimal call-ins
• No earbuds

Floating Areas

Floating opportunities may include areas such as:

• Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Day Surgery
