Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

General Information

Join our dedicated team in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room setting. Our unit is equipped with 8 operating rooms and staffed by a talented group of 25 professionals, including RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia staff.

Unit Overview

• Day Shift Staff: Charge RN, RNs, CST, Anesthesia
• Night Shift: On-call team
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
• Equipment Used: Belmont Rapid Fusion
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech / CPN

Typical Responsibilities

• Manage the operating room and assist surgeons during procedures
• Monitor vital signs and provide pre- and post-operative care
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Orthopedic
  • ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
  • Urology
  • Spine
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Endoscopy
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Cardiac Surgery

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 1 year of current acute care hospital experience as a Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room RN
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS required
• Required Skills: Experience in cardiac/open-heart surgery
• Preferred Skills: Pediatrics experience, CVOR/Cardiac experience, and capability to function across multiple service lines
