Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Join our Cardio Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) team which features one suite and handles an average of two cases per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate with a team of two circulators per case to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with assignments and coordination for the following day’s schedule, as managed by the Charge RN.
• Participate in the weekend rotation and on-call schedule specifically for the CVOR unit.
• Engage in patient care during straightforward cardiac procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Cerner and Surginet.
• Willingness to float to the main OR when necessary.
• Orientation to be provided for one week, or until the RN feels comfortable.
• Although not required, scrubbing experience is a benefit.

Additional Information

• Call response time is set at 30 minutes.
• Scrubs will be provided for all nursing staff.
• Holidays are part of the required schedule.
