Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR

Job Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a team specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures for a duration of 8 weeks. The position requires a strong background in circulatory nursing and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule Details

• Working hours: 10 hours per shift
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend and holiday requirements: As needed
• Floating requirements: As needed

On-Call Requirements

The role includes on-call responsibilities of approximately 3-4 shifts per month, with a requisite callback time of 2 hours, and candidates must be able to arrive within 30 minutes to respond to calls.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in CVOR as a Staff Nurse
• Endovascular and cardiac open-heart experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience floating to Main Operating Room
• Circuit scrubbing in CVOR

Licensure and Certification

• Active Illinois nursing license
• Current CPR certification
• No ACLS certification required

Additional Information

All submitted credentials must include a recent resume, skills checklist, and two professional references from the past year, with a preference for one being from travel experience. Due to the nature of the work, commuting time is important and must be considered when responding to on-call duties.

Requirement for Credential Documentation

Credential documentation is required to be submitted by Thursday before the scheduled start date. This includes CBC, DS, and QuantiFERON Gold tests, all of which must be conducted within the past 90 days.

Payroll Schedule

Payroll will be processed biweekly.
