Job Description:

This position is in the GI Procedure Call center, where there is no patient contact face to face; everything is done via phone or through Epic.

Responsibilities:

• Gastroenterology procedure scheduling and triaging of referrals/phone-based encounters, My Chart inquiries
• Patients needing scheduled and Educated on GI procedures (Upper and Lower Endoscopies)
• RN will assist in caring for patients in the clinic up to 5 days of the week depending on providers availability, including taking vitals, rooming documentation, education, scheduling, and assisting providers with exams

Requirements:

• Minimal experience required: 1.5 years of RN/LPN experience (facility requirement); previous GI/Endoscopy experience is highly preferred
• Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing; BLS certification required for RN/LPN
• EPIC experience required
• Excellent communication and care coordination skills, excellent customer service skills, organization skills, and comfortability caring for patients in the clinic
