Job Description:

The CVICU specializes in providing care for cardiac patients, operating with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity. The unit is equipped with an ECMO team, GE monitors, and a Cerner EMR to ensure comprehensive patient care. Nurses are required to wear navy blue or white scrubs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage IABP, Impella, and LVADS
• Perform intubation/extubation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Conduct frequent ambulation of patients
• Pull chest tubes and pacer wires

Requirements:

• BLS/ACLS certification
• Critical Care training
• Minimum of 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience
• High energy and friendly personality with a passion for heart care
