Job Description:

This 19-bed mixed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit/Cardiovascular Recovery Unit operates with highly trained nurses who provide care to patients with high acuity. The unit utilizes GE monitors and Cerner EMR systems, and provides heart surgery to around 850 patients per year.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with IABP and IMPELLA procedures
• Manage hemodynamics and frequent ambulation of patients
• Conduct pulling of chest tubes and pacer wires
• Provide LVAD care and handle intubation/extubation
• Float to all ICUs and Stepdown areas as needed

Requirements:

• BLS/ACLS certification
• Critical Care training
• 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience
• Preference for candidates with a certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care
