Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU

General Information

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care for cardiac surgery patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 4
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 for immediate post-surgical, 1:2 for post-operative days 1-3
• Staffing Description: Primary Nursing with unit secretaries and tech availability
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Floating Policy: Nurses will maintain the same patient ratio as the unit they are floated to

Scheduling Requirements

• 36 hours per week
• 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patients in direct primary recovery
• Advanced Skills Required:
  • ACLS Certification
  • Experience with balloon pumps and Impella devices
  • Training in Hemosphere or Acumen
• Procedures Performed: New cardiac surgery program launch
• Certifications Required: ACLS

Dress Code

• Required uniform: Navy Blue scrubs
