Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate in a team environment to coordinate patient care within the Cardiology Clinic, which encompasses various areas including the Cardiology Clinic, Electrophysiology/Atrial Fibrillation Clinic, and Testing Center.

Summary:
The Cardiology RN will conduct nursing assessments, identify patient issues, plan care strategies, report complex clinical data to the appropriate cardiologist or electrophysiologist, and implement patient care plans as directed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BSN degree highly preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of cardiovascular clinic and/or hospital nursing experience.
- Preferred: Two years in a critical care or cardiac inpatient unit.
- Preferred: Two years of telemetry monitoring experience.
Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse California license.
- Maintains BLS and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre and post-operative education for cardiology and electrophysiology procedures.
- Educate patients about their cardiovascular conditions and explain treatment options as directed by the cardiologist or electrophysiologist.
- Teach patients strategies for preventing the worsening of cardiovascular conditions, emphasizing the importance of self-monitoring and providing appropriate resources.
- Triage patients’ symptoms/arrhythmias and consult with cardiologists or electrophysiologists as per protocol.
- Cover RN Testing Center and Cardiac PET CT Imaging procedures as needed.
- Participate in Transition of Care Management to ensure discharge medications and instructions are clearly understood by patients and/or family members. Update medication and problem lists in the Electronic Health Record and ensure appropriate follow-ups with cardiologists.
- Review daily lab/test results, physician tasks, and clinical worklists as assigned.
- Assist the Nurse Supervisor and/or Director regarding nursing practices, contributing to the development of policies and protocols for patient care.
- Initiate and maintain personal professional development as required for continuing education.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Information:
- Job Schedule: Full Time – 40 hours/week
- No holidays
- Shift Hours: 8 Hour Shift, Days; 9am – 5:30pm
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2
- Certifications/Requirements: ACLS, BLS/BCLS
