Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Cath Lab is responsible for providing specialized nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing various diagnostics and interventional procedures in a 82-bed level II pediatric trauma center.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor pediatric patients during congenital diagnostic and interventional procedures including LHC/RHC, PDA/VSD/ASD closures, septostomy, and congenital structural interventions.
• Assist in pediatric electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker implants and EP studies with radiofrequency ablation.
• Coordinate with anesthesia for patient sedation needs and ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning properly.
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts as required, ensuring rapid response to emergencies with a 45-minute response time.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience; prior pediatric cath lab experience preferred.
• Current BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications, with a valid WA state or compact license.
• Proficiency in using EPIC Cupid, and experience with PACS: Picom and Siemens Artis C-arm.
• Ability to work independently, with no floating required and to participate in required on-call and holiday rotations.
• Adherence to the hospital’s provided scrub color policy, with understanding of limitations in extended sizing for lead aprons.
