Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The role includes providing support for TAVR, Mitraclip, and various peripheral vascular procedures in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for cardiac cath lab procedures and assist physicians and technicians during these procedures.
• Monitor patient’s vital statistics and ensure a sterile field within the lab setting.
• Required to take call one night per week and up to every other weekend.
• Initiate and document care plans for patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams as necessary.

Requirements:

• Current RN License and Licensure to Submit
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certifications
• Experience in scrub duties is highly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics EMR systems
• Completion of DYS Exam through UNA prior to contract signing
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is not required
