Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing care in a state-of-the-art Cath Lab, conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Unit Information

• Location: Bowling Green, KY
• Unit Name: Cath Lab
• Number of Suites: 2 Cath Lab Suites
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient per 4-person team
• Staffing Description: Cath Lab Scrub Techs available per case
• Equipment: GE Cath Lab Equipment, IVUS, VOLCANO
• Documentation System: Merge-Cath Lab Application and Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Call required – 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days per week
• Floating Policy: May float to Cath Lab and OP Stress Test

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures including left heart cath, right heart cath, TEEs, cardioversion, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, tilt tests, and stress tests.
• Provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS for Cath Lab RNs; valid ARRT and RCIS certification for Techs.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant Cath Lab experience and at least 1 year of travel experience required.
• Advanced Skills: Proficiency in Cath Lab procedures and technology.

Dress Code

Uniform: Solid color scrubs are required.
