General Information

• Number of Beds: 3
• Number of Staff: 8 Full-Time (6 RNs & 2 Techs), 3 PRN (2 RNs, 1 Tech)
• Staffing Requirements:
  • Day Shift: 3-4 staff per room based on case load (minimum 1 tech per room)
  • Night Shift: On-call coverage with 2 RNs and 1 Tech
• Patient Ratios: 3-4 staff per patient
• Type of Equipment: X-ray, Impella, Penumbra, IABP, various stents, sheaths, wires, guides, and atherectomy
• EMR Systems: Hemomerge & Meditech Expanse

Typical Hiring Profile

• Required Skills: Previous cath lab experience
• Preferred Skills: N/A
• Typical Procedures Performed:
  • Heart Catheterizations
  • Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO)
  • High-Risk Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Ablations (Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Supraventricular Tachycardia, Premature Ventricular Contractions)
  • Device Implants (Permanent Pacemaker, Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator, Watchman)
  • Peripheral Arteriography with or without Intervention
  • ECMO Cannulation
  • Thrombectomy Procedures
• Best Personality Fit: Easy-going demeanor

Certifications Required

• Radiology Technologist or RCIS certification

Dress Code

Caribbean scrubs are the required attire for this position.

Unit Guidelines/Policies

• Standard work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call responsibilities begin after daily cases conclude

Weekends and On-Call

• On-call coverage for 24 hours from Friday to Sunday
