Registered Nurse (RN) / Cath Lab

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab specializes in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and related interventions. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing these procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for patient care during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Utilize nursing processes and evidence-based practices in patient management.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition promptly.
• Assist in the preparation and operation of cardiac instrumentation and environment.
• Keep accurate records and documentation in the electronic medical records systems.

Work Schedule

This position requires a day shift from Monday to Friday, with a typical schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Call duties are expected on a rotational basis every other week. Please note that block scheduling is not available. The maximum allowable time off is three days.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (accepts AHA or ARC).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Electrophysiology is required.
• Ability to provide one-on-one patient care.

Facility Information

This position is located in a facility in the city of DeTar Navarro, TX, featuring a small environment conducive to focused patient care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided for the role, and familiarity with MedHost and MacLab electronic medical record systems is beneficial.
