Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Job Summary

A temporary position for a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, requiring experience in catheterization procedures. The role involves participating in patient care and ensuring effective operation of lab equipment.

The nurse will work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and is expected to work every other weekend and holidays as part of a rotation with hospital employees.

Unit Information

• Number of labs: 2
• Number of cases daily: Approximately 10
• Type of equipment: GE X-ray
• Documentation system: Maclab, Meditech
• Required on-call days: 7-9 days monthly, including at least 1 weekend

Responsibilities

• Administer emergency medications when necessary
• Perform a variety of procedures, including Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Permanent Pacemaker insertion (PPM), Impella insertion, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) management.
• Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Current Registered Nursing (RN) certification
• Advanced knowledge of emergency medications and procedures

Scrubs will be provided.
