Registered Nurse (RN) – Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology

Position Overview

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology setting.
• Current and valid ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification is required. The certification must be the full course (15.25 contact hours); fundamental certifications are not acceptable due to the high volume of chemotherapy administered.
• Experience with TCT (Transplant, Cellular Therapy) is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications per established guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures regarding the handling, storage, preparation, and disposal of antineoplastic medications.
• Collaborate with pharmacy personnel to prepare chemotherapy as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to adverse reactions, providing appropriate interventions.

Policy Overview
