HI- IP Rehab Speech Therapist

City/State: Hilo, Hawaii

Shift: Generally set schedule 5 days/wk but likely to include 1 weekend day, Days, 07:00:00-19:00:00

Contract Length: 45 weeks

Start Date: 08/03/2026

Job Description:

This position requires a speech therapist with acute care experience who is independent and proficient in the completion of Modified Barium Swallow Studies in radiology without supervision by a radiologist. Responsibilities include inpatient rehab with potential outpatient care referrals.

Responsibilities:

Rehab in acute care and skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience
Possibility of referrals for outpatient care
Potential floating to another facility depending on census and staffing

Requirements:

Active State of HI license or applied upon acceptance of offer
Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably with SNF level or rehab hospital experience
BLS certification
Proficiency in EMR and Meditech computerized documentation
Dress code compliance: Scrubs or per HMC dress code P&P
Must arrive the Thursday before the start for a health appointment
