Job Description:
The Inpatient Rehab Speech Therapist will work in a rehab setting, requiring experience in acute care and proficiency in completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently. The role involves rehab in acute settings with potential referrals for outpatient care.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently without supervision by a radiologist.
- Provide therapeutic services and manage patient care within a rehab and acute care setting.
- Document using Meditech for inpatient and paper for outpatient care.
- Possibly float to another facility or units depending on census and staffing needs.
Requirements:
- Must possess Hawaii License by the start of the assignment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in SNF level or rehab hospital experience.
- BLS certification and HI rehab licensure in the appropriate discipline.
- Training in EMR documentation will be provided.
