Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in providing home health care services. The ideal candidate will have experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and possess a strong foundation in physical therapy techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic care to patients in the home environment.
• Work closely with physical therapists to implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Document patient interactions and updates in the electronic medical record (EMR), specifically Cerner.
• Assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, focusing on ortho, spinal injuries, and stroke recovery.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team, including OTA and Rehab Aides.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a PTA.
• BLS Certification required.
• Experience with Oasis documentation is mandatory.
• Home health care experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to provide care in assigned geographical regions.

Shift Information

• 8-hour day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
• Every 3rd weekend and minor holidays as needed.
• Floor specific orientation lasting 1.5-2 weeks will be provided.

Uniform Requirements

Business attire accompanied by a white lab coat is required. Jeans are not permitted.
