Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. This position involves providing home health care services within the greater Sacramento area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes, assisting with a variety of diagnoses, including cardio, pulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions.
• Manage a caseload of 5-6 patients per day.
• Work towards established productivity goals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification is required.
• New graduates may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
• Must possess valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Work Environment

This position is home-based, covering various locations within the greater Sacramento area. Mileage will be reimbursed at the GSA rate with prior approval.

Hours

This position offers a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
