Facility Overview

This position is located in a military community near Fort Gordon Army Base, serving as a bedroom community to Augusta, GA. The clinic has seen significant growth with an influx of new families and retired military residents, offering a wide range of outpatient services for diverse diagnoses and patient age groups.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have outpatient experience and a passion for helping patients recover and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Treat patients with various diagnoses in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with physical therapists to provide group and concurrent therapy.
• Conduct screenings and build caseloads.
• Perform gross motor assessments and assist with patient evaluations.
• Implement treatment plans for conditions such as post-operative back pain, tendonitis, fractures, and more.

• Back Pain (Post-Operative)
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Disc Herniation
• Fractures/Stress Fractures
• Osteoarthritis
• Plantar Fasciitis
• Rotator Cuff Non-Surgical Intervention
• Total Joint Replacement
• Children’s injuries and developmental issues
• Rehabilitation following CVA and traumatic brain injuries

Patient Population

The clinic serves a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Outpatient experience is required.
• 1+ years of experience is preferred, though new graduates with some orthopedic experience are welcomed to apply.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care.

Schedule Details

Flexible scheduling options are available, including:

• 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts on at least two days.
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Fridays.
• Remaining days can be either 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Option for four 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Clinic Hours

The clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Staff Support

The team includes 3 physical therapists (PTs), 1 PTA, aides, and additional support staff.
