Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services to a diverse patient population, predominantly in inpatient settings (80%) with some outpatient responsibilities (20%).
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and improve patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
  • Assist in precepting and mentoring newer staff as needed.

Work Schedule

This role typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule with shifts from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) is mandatory.
  • Must hold valid Texas state licensure and national certification.
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred; wound care experience is a plus.

Patient Population

Caseload includes general therapy cases, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and other rehabilitation needs. The treatment focus will mainly involve patients with SNF conditions, wounds, and orthopedic and neuro rehabilitation.

Team Composition

The rehabilitation department consists of 2-3 Physical Therapy Assistants and 1 technician to support patient care and therapy services.
