Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with home health experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a home health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments and procedures as directed by a licensed physical therapist.
• Conduct initial evaluations, recertifications, and daily visits as needed.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 6.5 patients per day.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with a clinical manager or educator available for support 24/7 in case of emergencies.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Must have previous home health experience as well as experience with Home Care Home Base.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
• Experience with patients diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Orthopedic conditions, and Pneumonia is a plus.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are not new graduates.

Working Conditions

Typical shifts consist of five 8-hour days, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage as required. Candidates must be flexible with their schedules.

Orientation and Integration

New hires will receive a comprehensive orientation over two weeks, which includes several visits with a work coach to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Equipment

Company-provided phone and tablet will be available for communication and documentation needs.
