Job Description:

The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. Responsibilities include performing evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the order of a physician or other accepted healthcare providers, observing precautions, indications, and contraindications, evaluating and treating patients per department protocols, and establishing a therapeutic plan of care, including long and short-term goals. Therapists partner with patients and other healthcare providers to maximize patients’ functional abilities and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Establish a therapeutic plan of care with long and short-term goals.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to maximize functional abilities.

Requirements:

• Responsible, supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in high-stress situations.
• The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English is required.
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a PT in the State of Maine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
