Location: Port Charlotte, FL

Type: Inpatient Physical Therapy

Number of Beds: 253 bed acute care hospital, including a 20 bed Inpatient Rehab unit

Staff: Approximately 20 Physical Therapy caregivers

Patient Ratios: Typically 9-10 patients per day

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients in an inpatient setting. This role requires a collaborative and outgoing individual with excellent communication skills who can maintain productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists (OT) and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP)
• Utilize mobility equipment effectively

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Valid Florida Physical Therapist license
• MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university
• Acute care experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• ICU experience

Additional Information

This position requires the traveler to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
