Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Unit. This role involves providing high-quality therapy services to patients with a variety of conditions, including cardiac issues, strokes, orthopedic concerns, and neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year in an acute care hospital setting.

Position Details

• Unit: Rehabilitation (PT, OT, & Speech)
• Shift Length: 10 hours (Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend, with potential for every other weekend
• Holidays: Participation in permanent staff rotation for holidays

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS Certification required
• California state license required

Clinical Environment

The unit is equipped to handle a diverse patient population, with specific expertise in cardiac rehabilitation, stroke care, orthopedic rehabilitation, and neuro treatment. Pediatric and neonatal care experience is not mandatory, as travelers are not required to work in the NICU or pediatric wards.

Additional Information

• Common Diagnoses: Cardiac, stroke (facility is stroke certified), orthopedic, ICU, neuro, and med-surg patients
• Team Structure: PT aides available, with a team leader present in the absence of the manager
• Orientation: 8 hours of orientation for all modalities
• Dress Code: Polo or button-down shirt (provided) in burgundy, with dark solid pants (no scrubs)
• Facility Support: Hospitalist or intensivist available 24/7, along with pharmacy and respiratory therapy services
