Physical Therapist

Job Summary

This position is for a Physical Therapist dedicated to providing quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer therapeutic treatments and monitor patient progress.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document patient interactions and progress in accordance with facility guidelines.
  • Participate in patient education and support initiatives.

Unit Information

  • Patient Load: Approximately 8-12 patients treated daily.
  • Types of Patients: Primarily orthopedic cases, including post-operative rehabilitation, pain management, neurological conditions, and sports-related injuries.
  • Environment: Mostly outpatient orthopedic services with some inpatient acute care; includes a warm water therapy pool.

Shift Information

  • Scheduling: 4 ten-hour shifts per week (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday).
  • Shift Timing: 8 AM to 6 PM, with sessions lasting 45 minutes and blocked time for evaluations and documentation.
  • Weekend Requirements: Limited weekend on-call duties on rare occasions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Valid Physical Therapy license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Team Structure

  • Supervisors: Managed by an OTR supervisor and a lead Physical Therapist.
  • Support Staff: Composed of three Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).

Additional Information

New hires must be available for orientation during the first week. Clinicians should reside within a 60-mile radius and have a driver’s license for verification purposes.

Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual attire is acceptable.
