Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide care in a dynamic setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with various diagnoses, including but not limited to orthopedic, neurological, and general rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment planning, and treatment implementation for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of nursing and therapy staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage in professional development and may be required to precept less experienced staff members.

Patient Demographics

The therapist will treat a varied patient population, which includes:

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) patients with general conditions, wounds, orthopedic, and neurological issues.
• Inpatients with acute conditions, rehabilitation needs, wounds, or those requiring specialized care.
• Outpatients across all diagnoses as required based on patient needs.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Possession of a valid Texas state license and national license for Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• Wound care experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work in a supportive environment with a collaborative team comprising:

• 2-3 Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
• 1 Rehab Technician

Shifts & Scheduling

• No weekend requirements.
• Holiday rotation may be necessary; details to be discussed during the interview.

Dress Code

Team members are required to wear maroon scrubs, which are not provided.

Additional Notes

Our facility promotes a collaborative atmosphere, with experienced staff available to support patient care. The case diversity includes fractures, orthopedic injuries, neck pain, and a percentage of neurological cases. Specialized cases will be referred to an associated facility as needed.
